Weller Book Works is pleased to welcome Randy Ross, as he reads and performs GOD BLESS CAMBODIA, Wednesday, August 2, 6:30 PM, at Weller Book Works!

Novelist and indie theater veteran Randy Ross will discuss his new comedy novel, GOD BLESS CAMBODIA, and read and perform scenes from the book. Ross is in Salt Lake to promote his novel and to perform his one-man play based on the novel at the 2017 Great Salt Lake Fringe Festival Aug 3-6.

GOD BLESS CAMBODIA is a picaresque comedy about a never-married hypochondriac who takes a trip around the world hoping to change his luck with love. It's an unflinching look at how men feel about sex, love, marriage, and massage parlors.

For the past four years, Ross has been performing a one-hour, one-man show based on the novel. The show, entitled THE CHRONIC SINGLE'S HANDBOOK, has been featured at theater festivals in the U.S., Canada, and Edinburgh, Scotland. He will be performing pieces from that show this evening.

Randy Ross a Boston-based writer and performer. His fiction and humor have appeared in The Drum, Black Heart Magazine, Calliope, and other publications. In 2007, he took a trip around the world and learned to say in three languages: "Speak English?" "Got Pepto-Bismol?" and "Is this the evacuation helicopter?" His show and novel are based on the trip. Previously, he was an executive editor for PC World magazine.
